Flat 5:
jo
Luxurious, oozes luxury and style 500 pcm all in
but a bit too manicured for my taste
and also too expensive. Bedroom too small for the price
Flat 6:
Alan
Ordinary looking from the outside, lovely smell of lavender at the door
the kitchen had a butler sink and a lovely relaxed air
the lving room ditto (except for the sink) and the bathroom was nice
the bedroom was spartan and backed onto railway lines [rumble rumble rumble] I SAID IT BACKED ONTO RAILWAY LINES
the flatmate is the chap who will be cycling around Asia
i took to this guy in nothing flat. we ended up talking for an hour and i ended up fancying the poor guy.
he
said he would decide at the end of the week, which means i cannot know
by the end of today whether to accept Flat 3 or not (dang!)
but I really like the flatmate (he is laaaaavley!)

Flat 2
Flat is in the centre of town and about 10-15 minutes walk to work.
+ beautifully decorated flat
+ clean and tidy
+ share with owner
+ easy access to town centre and work
+ room is bright and has nice-ish view
+ high ceilings, large windows, balcony off kitchen and living room.
- owner was a little intimidating (scary)
- did not get the 'nice person' vibe
- nowhere safe to keep the bike
- might be noisy because of the towncentre proximity
- tad expensive, due its exceptional furnishing and location, guess
- smoker?
- nowhere for the hamster

Flat 1
Near
the University, but a bit far from work. It would be sharing with the
owner (my preference) rather than a straight flatshare. Owner is in her
fifties, friendly and articulate. - seemed a like a good person.
+ it has its own sitting room downstairs with bookshelves, a table and a large window
+ the owner seems nice, I like her
+ there is a large garden and space to keep my bike safe
+ space for hammies
+ easy access to buses and trains
+ supermarket nearby
+ bright, airy room
+ library nearby
+ no smokers
- a bit far to walk to work
- student neighbours can be noisy
- room felt a little uncared for
- furniture a bit higgledy-piggledy
- no computer or phone jack for internet
- polluted part of town
